bath time!

happy anniversary!

happy 3rd anniversary to us! this past tuesday, june 21, was zack and my 3rd anniversary. we weren't able to celebrate together but that did not stop zack from remembering and giving me a surprise. he sent me a beautiful bouquet of flowers all the way from wherever he is...

neither of us can believe that it has been 3 years already, but yet it seems like so much longer. we have had so many changes in our lives over the past year that it seems like we have been married for so much longer. but here is to another year of surprises and changes. hope we can keep up!

Happy Father's Day!!!!

happy father's day to all you dads out there. and today is an extra special one for us because it is zack's first father's day. we are bummed that he isn't here but we can celebrate with him when he is home. when he gets back we will deem everyday father's day. i did get to spend the day with two fathers: my dad and my 95 year old grandpop. it has been a nice day, but we definitely missed zack.

thank you to all the fathers in our lives, we love you very much.

new pics of the crazy man

here are some pictures from today of ronin. he definitely keeps me going and tired all at the same time. the one picture of me pretty much encompasses how i feel most of the time. but then he looks at me with this face of love and i forget about that brief urge to return him to the hospital (just kidding of course :). but he is a joy. every day we miss zack (papa) and we cannot wait for him to come home. i know zack wants to be with us and even misses the nighttime feedings and the unconsolable crying; he would trade being away for those moments any day...

this is how i roll

ronin cracks me up. the pic of him in his stroller looks like he is strapped in to a roller coaster. and then him sitting with his leg propped up sucking on his fingers. he is always kicking back with a leg up, thats how he gets his baths too. he looks like he should have a beer gut and a cigarette in his mouth. then we have him looking cute. the last picture is of him in the pool. im pretty sure the sun was almost down but he still had on clothes so that no skin was showing and spf 50. got to protect that skin
